Colossians 3:1-4
What we pursue in life and what we set our minds on completely shapes who we will become and how we live. This session will challenge men to seek God and set their minds on Him so that they might become men of God, useful for His purposes.

A native New Yorker, Jeremy has served as a pastor and professor over the course of his years of ministry. A graduate of Baptist Bible College, Southern Seminary, and Southeastern Seminary, he loves to hike, bike, read, and spend time with his family, Rachel (wife of 22 years), Hannah (18), and Jonathan (15). He desires to teach the Bible, train men, and strengthen the church.
Main Session Two: Kill
Colossians 3:5-11
“Be killing sin, or sin will be killing you.” Our new life in Christ demands that we ruthlessly put off the old man and combat unrighteousness in our hearts. This session will focus on indwelling sin and the need for confession and repentance.

Born into a Gospel-singing family in Nashville, Tennessee, Bryson traveled the world with his family until High School, when they settled to serve in a local church. Bryson received his theological education through Cedarville University (MDiv) and has been in church ministry for nine years. Married last year here at UBC, and he and his wife, Skyler, both serve on the church staff. Bryson also serves in public office as trustee president in Butler Township, Ohio.
Main Session Three: Live
Colossians 3:12-17
Our new life in Christ calls us not only to put off our “old self” but also to put on our “new self.” This session will invite men to step into their new identity and the accompanying practices that will mark our new lives in Christ.

Bill was born and raised on a 100-acre cattle farm in northern Kentucky. There, he learned to work hard, fix things, serve others, and love Jesus. After high school, he sensed the call to pastoral ministry and has served in local churches for over twenty years. Bill and his wife, Cathy, have four beautiful children and desire to help people see who Jesus is. Bill serves as a UBC Elder and our Pastor of Connections and Care.

Rich began following Christ in 1987. He and Lesley have one out of the nest (Ethan, 21) and two still in it (Tessa, 19; Wyatt, 15). Rich is the English Department Chair at Springboro High School, where he is in his 25th year. He has been an adjunct professor at Cedarville University for 19 years. He has attended UBC since 2005, serving as an adult classes teacher, deacon, and elder.

Phil is a grateful husband and father who has been in vocational ministry for over twenty years. He has served in various leadership roles, including youth ministry, pastoral care, connections, foster care, and adoption, and has spent most of his time in worship leadership. He is a growth group leader and UBC’s Director of Worship and Media Arts.Description text goes here
