Frequently Asked Questions

Where is University Baptist Church (UBC) located?. . .

We meet at 2223 Hanes Rd. Beavercreek, OH 45432.

What is a typical service like?. . .

Services at UBC are about 70-75 minutes in length. The service will begin with the worship team leading the church in music – song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with worship. During the music portion of our services, we spend a few minutes in corporate prayer specifically praying for a local church or ministry, a ministry within UBC, and a global ministry.

After the music and prayer portions of the service are complete, one of our pastors will share a Bible-based, encouraging, and hope-filled message about Jesus Christ.

When are the service times?. . .

We have two indentical services at 9:00am & 10:45am (livestream available on Facebook & YouTube at 10:45am)

What does University Baptist Church (UBC) believe?. . .

The following statements of faith and doctrine do not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible (Holy Scriptures) itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe.

What should I wear?. . .

Come as you are. We are a casual church. You will find a range of dress styles from t-shirts and jeans, shorts and flip-flops, to an occasional sport jacket and dress. So feel free to come dressed however you prefer and you will fit right in.

Do I need a Bible?. . .

If you own a Bible, you will want to bring it. Our pastors teach straight from Scripture. They will often refer to it and even encourage you to mark your copy.

If you don’t have one, don’t worry! Just ask one of our hosts or ushers (wearing blue lanyards), and they will get you one that you may keep!

Our pastors teach from what is known as the English Standard Version (ESV). If you have another version, you are welcome to use it.

If you don’t have a Bible but would prefer to follow along on your phone or tablet, you can download the YouVersion Bible App.

Where do my children go?. . .

We have a children’s program - “U!Kids” - for newborns through 5th grade available during all services. Upon entry into the Welcome Center, head to the left (follow the sign or ask someone wearing a blue lanyard).

We believe in creating a fun, secure environment for each child at UBC. This begins with our children check-in stations. One of our volunteers will help check your children in and give you and your child(ren) a sticker with matching numbers. You will use your sticker to securely check your child out of their class. If you prefer, you are more than welcome to take your children into the worship service with you.

All of our volunteers and teachers go through extensive training and complete background checks before serving at University Baptist Church. You may meet your child’s teacher upon dropping them off in their age appropriate room.

What ministries do you have for my students?. . .

Student Ministry (STUMIN) exists to connect teenagers with the God who created them and loves them. Today’s teenagers have a deep longing for something more than being entertained. They want purpose. They want mission. And they want to be known. At UBC our desire is to accomplish each of these by a deep commitment to God’s Word and to connecting students with adult leaders who care for their soul. STUMIN is uniquely designed for students in 6th-12th grade to…

• Find a place to belong • Learn who God is • Discover their mission • And connect them with people who care

This ministry meets Sunday afternoons at 4:30pm. We hope that you will join us! Learn more about our about our Student Ministry here.

Where do I go once I arrive?. . .

Once you arrive at our building, you will find two different entrances; a Kid's Ministry entrance and our Auditorium Entrance under the portico. If you have infant-preschool age children, start at the Kid's Ministry entrance. Everyone else can go directly to the Auditorium entrance. Please stop by the Information Center, right inside the Auditorium entrance, where we have a special gift for you as well as people ready to answer any questions you may have. Any volunteer wearing a blue lanyard is available for questions and will help you get where you need to go.

I have special needs, what accomodations do you have?. . .

In addition to handicap parking, we also have reserved seating in our worship center for anyone who may need it.

If you have a child with special needs, contact our Kid's Ministry staff at children@ubcbeavercreek.com so we can make any necessary accommodations for your child.
