Mission & Mercy Ministries

Here at UBC, we are passionate about helping the church grow in discipleship and participating with the vision to help people become wholehearted followers of Jesus Christ who know Him and make Him Known. UBC Missions & Mercy ministries assist by training and equipping our members to grow in these two areas of the 9-points of discipleship.

Missionally:  UBC believes that the basic definition of our mission is outlined in the Scripture and foundational to why the church exists. Multiple scriptures apply to mission work, but we believe the basic definition is rooted in two primary passages (Matthew 28:18-20 and Acts 1:8).

Mercifully: UBC believes that as the church body, we are to display the love of Jesus to the very broken people in our community. We want to show mercy by using our gifts to meet tangible needs and walk alongside the suffering, homeless, orphans, widows, and the poor (James 2:13-17 and Matthew 25:40).

Get Involved

We are called as believers to be involved in the Great Commission. This is not just for super-Christians or paid staff/professional workers. We are all called to go and make disciples. As a church, we want to assist believers to be equipped and go to wherever God is calling. If you want to get involved with Missions & Mercy ministries, please email us!

Jesus called His church to go into the world. Here at UBC, we want to GO and help people become wholehearted followers of Jesus who know Him and make Him known (Matthew 28:18-20).

Our mission is to prayerfully lead, equip, and mobilize the UBC body to share the love of Christ by mercifully attending to the tangible needs of the suffering and poor in our church, community, and world.

In response to natural disasters, humanitarian crises, and other emergencies, UBC mobilizes its resources, facilities, and volunteers to assist and support those in need (Nahum 1:7).
