The Weavers

Ministry Overview

David and Joy Weaver have served with TEAM in the Philippines since 1991. As church planters, their goal is to engage in evangelism and discipleship ministries in order to establish self-governing, reproducing churches. They formed the Church Planting Institute (CPI), a church-based program for training church planters. They are now working to mentor graduates of CPI as they help their disciples to start new churches.

Prayer Needs

  • Praise God for providing a church building for the Malasiqui church.

  • Praise God that church planters were able to attend training, in spite of flooding from four typhoons.

  • Praise God for His provision for our travels, and for 600 Bibles for children.

  • Pray that God will use the Bibles given to children to bring them to faith in Christ.

  • Pray for Joy’s Mom and Dad, Daniel and Pauline Sutton, as Mom continues chemo infusions for her cancer.

  • Pray for the funds needed to complete the dormitory for Christ Connection Camp.
