The Weavers

Ministry Overview

David and Joy Weaver have served with TEAM in the Philippines since 1991. As church planters, their goal is to engage in evangelism and discipleship ministries in order to establish self-governing, reproducing churches. They formed the Church Planting Institute (CPI), a church-based program for training church planters. They are now working to mentor graduates of CPI as they help their disciples to start new churches.

Prayer Needs

  • Praise God for one of the Weaver’s ministry partner’s 50 years of marriage, 52 years of church planting, and 30 years of partnership with the Weaver’s ministry. Together this couple has helped start 43 churches!

  • Pray for young church planters currently being trained to commit to a lifetime of faithful ministry and service.

  • Praise God for the dormitory construction that has begun to house church planters in training. Pray for provision of the $30,000 needed to complete the project.

  • Continue to pray for Joy’s Mom as she undergoes cancer treatment.
