Sermon Discussions | When We Pray: Part 1
Video
Audio
In this edition of UBC Sermon Discussions Jason answers questions that originated from his sermon out of Matthew 7:7-11. Part 1 of UBC’s “When We Pray” series.
The main idea for the sermon was: When we pray, we pray to our God as our Father.
Questions discussed in this episode:
Q. Pray to God as our Father: my example of a “father” isn’t good. In fact it was abusive at times. I struggle looking at God as a good father because of my past-my father never wanted to hear from me-I want to look at God as a good father but if I’m honest it is hard. What should I do?
Q. God promises to answer? I’ve prayed for something very important for years and God hasn’t answered it-I’d even take a no, but he isn’t answering. What should I do?
Q. Submission to God. Is it possible that God isn’t answering my prayer because I’m not fully submitted to Him? Is it because there is something personal I’m holding on to that I don’t want to let go?
