Read Acts 1:6-8

  1. What are the 3 spheres of mission Jim discussed in verse 8? 

    1. Jerusalem (Miami Valley)

    2. Judea and Samaria (Ohio and America)

    3. Ends of the earth (global mission)

  2. More than 80% of the Miami Valley does not have a relationship with Christ. How does that knowledge affect you?

  3. What is the chief end of man? (to glorify God and enjoy him forever)

    1. How does this purpose of existence, drive mission in our lives?

    2. Consider Psalm 67

    3. How does God’s grace and shining on you allow you to make his name known in your life?

  4. What was one takeaway for you from the testimonies of recent mission trips?

  5. What is your part in the mission work going on around the globe?

  6. What is one action step you can take in response to hearing about missions this past Sunday?

  7. There was a lot of discussion regarding prayer and awareness of mission work around the world. How does prayer affect missions?

  8. Consider Romans 10:14-17 

  9. Outside of the classic “share the gospel more,” what are some practical steps you need to take to open your mouth for others to hear?

  10. Is the Lord stirring in your heart to be a goer or a sender?

Goer = being sent to make disciples on a foreign field 

Sender = supporting others who go through financial means, prayer, and providing a home base

Is the Lord prompting anyone in our group to go to the field? Short term or long term? Please share.
